Speaker Profiles - Dr. Emer Ní Bhrádaigh
Dr Emer Ní Bhrádaigh works as a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship in Fiontar, Dublin City University. Fiontar, the Irish word for enterprise, is an innovative school which provides undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses through the medium of Irish in business studies and contemporary Irish language issues. Ní Bhrádaigh has published in her areas of interest which include entrepreneurship in minority groups, including rural and linguistic minorities, and entrepreneurship education. She specialises in the development of entrepreneurship in Gaeltacht areas. She is an entrepreneurship expert for the European Commission; DCU’s representative in INTRE (Ireland’s Network of Teachers and Researchers of Entrepreneurship); and a member of the Enterprise and Employment Development Subgroup of the Northside Partnership. Prior to working in academia, she worked in marketing and management roles in the IT and arts sectors, and in fundraising for third level education.
